Reviews
Hexagon Tile Puzzle targets players who enjoy spatial reasoning without time pressure. Its strength is the hexagonal grid: six neighbors per tile create denser decision-making than square-tile sliding puzzles. Shared colors on some levels force you to plan move order, not just direction. The lack of timers and scores makes it welcoming for children and adults, though players seeking speed challenges or competitive scoring will find little here.
Description
Color Matching on a Hex Grid
Hexagon Tile Puzzle asks you to move every hexagonal tile onto the frame that matches its color. [IMG_1] The grid's six-sided layout changes how you plan moves: a tile can border up to six neighbors instead of four, so sliding one piece often opens or blocks several paths at once. That extra connectivity makes the board feel tighter than a square-tile puzzle of the same size.
How Moves Work
On a touchscreen, swipe or drag a tile into an empty adjacent space. On a desktop, use your mouse the same way. [IMG_2] You can restart a level at any time, and the controls respond smoothly on phones, tablets, and computers. A full screen mode is available if you want a more focused view. There is no score and no time limit, so you can experiment with different move orders without penalty.
Planning Around Shared Colors
Some levels include multiple tiles of the same color. That means the order of your moves matters: placing one tile can block the path another tile needs. Before you start sliding, look at the whole grid and identify which tiles have the fewest open routes. Move those first, or clear a lane for them before the board gets crowded. [IMG_3]
Difficulty and Audience
Levels gradually increase in difficulty, and the grid can become crowded quickly. The colorful, clear design makes it easy to see which tile belongs where, which helps younger players and adults who prefer thoughtful, unhurried play. Because it runs in a browser with no download, you can start a level whenever you have a few minutes.
